Recycling Equipment/Maintenance Technician (Hydraulic)
Reporting directly to the Solid Waste Equipment/Facility Superintendent the Recycling Equipment/Maintenance Technician performs generalized labor and technical skills in the maintenance and repair of machinery, buildings and equipment.
Hours for this role are: Monday – Friday 6:30am – 3:00pm, occasional Saturdays based on maintenance and production needs

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are most critical for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
*Ideal candidate will be experienced on various hydraulic equipment and hydraulic systems.
*Be able to troubleshoot and repair electric over hydraulic controls.
*Have experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, motors.
*Have well rounded electro-mechanical experience.
*Performs various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of machinery, buildings, and equipment.
*Tests, troubleshoots, maintains, and evaluates equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and pressure gages.
*Checks and repairs pumps, fans, valves, and motors.
*Prepares accurate records for preventative maintenance performed.
*Performs equipment operations for testing and production.
*Communicates arising problems to department supervisors.
*Maintains regular and predictable attendance, works overtime/extra hours as required.
*Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Certifications/Experience Requirements:
Two years’ experience in equipment preventative maintenance and repair.
General experience in facility or plant maintenance work.
Two years technical school training and trade certification preferred.
Or, any combination of education and experience which provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
This position does require successful completion of a Post Offer Pre Employment Examination (POPE).
