Job Summary
This position is the first point of contact for Human Resources. Assists employees and the public through phone calls and in person inquiries providing information on department services, records and functions. Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Generalist team. Maintains County personnel records. Maintains information systems.

Essential Duties
Works with newly hired employees to ensure new hire paperwork is properly completed.

Prepares photo ID’s for all new staff, volunteers and issues replacement ID badges as requested by supervisors.

Completes reference and background checks on job candidates.

Logs/files performance evaluations and other documents into official employment files.

Scans and uploads interview notes into Neogov.

Publicizes all recruitment postings on various job boards.

Maintains confidential employee information in accordance with applicable County Code and State and Federal regulations.

Participates in other human resources projects and events through individual initiative or as assigned.

Assists other administrative individuals in the department performing general clerical and department related duties.

Minimum Qualifications Required
High School Diploma with one year office experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of and ability to utilize a personal computer and relevant software to create and implement and maintain functional databases.

Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.

Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple on-going detailed responsibilities.

Ability to utilize interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees, other department staff, and the public.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to maintain the order and confidentiality of department records.

Ability to work the required hours of the position.
