Public Health Nurse/EH Assistant

Waushara County is hiring for a Full-Time Public Health Nurse/Environmental Health Assistant. Provide professional public health nursing services to support County programs in accordance with standards, codes, and regulations of the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services. A public health nurse carries out health education, health promotion, health assessment and disease prevention activities in the community and schools. This position also supports the Tri-County Environmental Health Food Safety and Recreational Licensing Program on a part-time basis (25%). Tri-County licenses and inspects facilities as an Agent of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP). Bachelor’s degree in nursing and must be registered as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin. Must be eligible to obtain a Wisconsin Registered Sanitarian designation in accordance with Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapter SPS 175.025 and the DATCP Agent contract. Wage range is $25.38-$26.92 per hour (starting wage based on relevant experience) with benefits. Online application and position description available at www.co.waushara.wi.us.
