What You’ll Do:
As a Public Health Nurse at Waushara County, you will be instrumental in the delivery of essential public health services. Your role will involve:
• Communicable Disease Control: Conducting epidemiological investigations, educating the community, and implementing control measures to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.
• Immunization Services: Planning and staffing immunization clinics, administering vaccines, and providing education on immunization needs for all age groups.
• Health Education & Outreach: Leading educational campaigns to promote health, prevent illness, and engage the community in public health initiatives.
• Emergency Preparedness & Response: Participating in emergency response drills and helping to respond to public health crises, ensuring the community is ready and resilient in times of need.
• School Nursing: You may be assigned to local schools within Waushara County, providing direct health services to students and staff.
• Collaboration: Building relationships with local agencies, participating in public health committees, and contributing to community health projects.

What We’re Looking For:
• Education & Credentials:
o A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program preferred.
o Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin.
o Current CPR certification.
o Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle.
• Skills & Experience:
o Knowledge of public health programs, services, and practices.
o Experience in the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
o Strong leadership, independent judgment, and critical thinking skills.
o Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
o A passion for community health, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Hourly Wage: $25.38 – $27.46 per hour, based on relevant experience.
