Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber
Do you enjoy helping individuals with mental illnesses and substance abuse issues? If so, the Monroe County Dept. of Human Services Behavioral Health Unit might have the job for you. We are hiring for a full-time contract Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber. Successful candidates will have a Masters in nursing, preferably with specialization in Mental Health Nursing and must be Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as an Advanced Practice Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse. Successful completion of the jurisprudence examination for Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber is required. Must be licensed to practice as a professional nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber in the State of Wisconsin. A minimum of two years’ work experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred.
Our PAPNP provides diagnostic, treatment, and medication management services to the clients of the Monroe County Behavioral Health Clinic while working in collaboration with the Psychologist. This position will perform psychiatric assessments, formulate diagnoses and treatment plans, and select and initiate treatment modalities for a wide range of mental illnesses and substance abuse issues.
