Job Description:

Chippewa County presently has an opening for a full time Project Engineer. The purpose of this professional position is to provide lead engineering for the Stormwater Management Program while providing engineering services in support of the agricultural nonpoint pollution control and the Nonmetallic Mining, Mine Reclamation, and Recycling & Solid Waste Management related programs.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited university in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural/Biosystems Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline required. One (1) or more years of environmental, civil or agricultural engineering experience preferred. State of Wisconsin Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration or Engineer-In-Training registration (expected to be acquired within 12 months of hire) with future ability to obtain Professional Engineering registration. Ability to certify under the Wisconsin Engineering Practitioner system.

A valid driver’s license is required.

Desirable Knowledge/Experience:
Knowledge of water resources, hydrology, soils, and geology. Working knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and inspection. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and ArcGIS software. Experience with field surveying (level, total station, and GPS).

Salary: $57,503 – $71, 889 annually depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package.
