Chippewa County is accepting applications for an Operator II – Truck Driver position within the Highway Department. The job duties of the Operator II include but are not limited to provide highway and bridge maintenance and construction, construction and maintenance materials handling, sand and gravel mining and highway facilities maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in heavy equipment operation on a routine basis such as a grader, loaders, plow truck and tractors. Road maintenance experience required. Class A CDL without restrictions E and L required. N-Tanker Endorsement required within 6 months from date of hire. Starting Wage: $19.07 – $20.98 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package.
