Dunn County Transit Commission is seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Operations Supervisor. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transit services, directly impacting the daily lives of our community members.

As an Operations Supervisor, you will oversee daily driver operations and managing various aspects of our service delivery. The anticipated starting wage is between $29.10/hr and $30.72/hr.

**In addition to hourly pay, the Operations Supervisor will receive $2.50 per hour in lieu of fringe pay.**

Primary Responsibilities
The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully to be qualified for the position. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Direct, assign, dispatch, and supervise Drivers.
Ensure enough Drivers are on duty and vehicles are assigned to perform all scheduled runs.
Operate radio and phone systems and a variety of software applications and maintain and improve processes in dispatching software
Serve as a first responder to service and safety issues and inform the appropriate departments, of incidents, accidents or other emergencies
Maintain professional, reliable, and effective communication.
Accounts receivable, payable, and general bookkeeping
Facilitate and coordinate operations with other department functions.
Monitor and make corrections to ensure on-street service quality and safety.
Develop and direct with training and retraining of Drivers and dispatchers.
Know/apply all work rules, policies, and procedures; comply with all state/federal regulations.
Perform field evaluations of operators including on-board ride alongs.
Make system changes and adjustments to ensure quality and efficient service is being delivered.
Ensure accurate record keeping by operators and dispatch/schedulers.
Be prepared to fill in for the schedulers or other operations staff in their absence.
Attends meetings, conferences, and seminars as directed by the Transit Manager, where such attendance will complement the overall efficient performance of the position duties.
MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Previous CDL experience preferred
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
CDL Class B License with Passenger endorsement required
Fed Med Card required

Minimum Qualifications
In order to perform the duties of the Operations Supervisor position (listed above) the following knowledge, skills, and abilities are essential for an Operations Supervisor to possess.

Knowledge of fundamentals and operation of communication/dispatch software (Ecolane), recordkeeping systems, mapping systems, computer systems and equipment.
Knowledge of the City of Menomonie geography.
Knowledge of County geography.
Knowledge of standard office equipment.
Ability to stay focused for long periods of time.
Knowledge of safe driving practices, per state and federal guidelines.
Ability to use tire changer and balancer machines
Ability to use power tools
Skill in basic mechanic processes such as tire changes, oil changes, antifreeze flushes, and light replacements
Skill in monitoring communications with the public and personnel in the field to ensure safety and provide communication assistance and support, as needed.
Skill in operating radio, computer aided dispatch, telecommunication systems and other communications equipment/systems utilized by the department.
Skill in learning, assessing and applying dispatch and records management procedures and routines and equipment appropriately.
Skill in reading and interpreting maps.
Ability to manage time effectively, manage multiple projects, and complete work within established deadlines.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, the public.
Ability to exchange information sufficiently.
Ability to follow department and Dunn County policies and procedures.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work the allocated hours of the position.
MINIMUM LANGUAGE SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to communicate effectively with other members of the staff, supervisor, and customers.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal form.
