Mental Health Therapist

Performs intermediate-advanced human support work providing ongoing individual and group psychotherapy and addiction counseling services for clients of the Outpatient Behavioral and Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) clinic, implementing policies and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of services and conforms to all regulations and statutes, conducting assessments, developing and implementation person-centered treatment plans, assessing crisis needs and providing client advocacy, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Behavioral Health Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in marriage/family therapy, professional counseling, social work, or related field and extensive experience counseling in behavioral health, substance use disorders, marital and family wellbeing, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of Substance Use Disorder certification and Marriage/Family Therapist, Professional Counselor, or Social Work certification upon hire. Valid driver’s license in the State of Wisconsin.

Starting Wage: $26.79 per hour, depending on experience and certification. Adams County offers a generous benefits package.
