Job Summary
The Wisconsin Extension Master Gardener Program supports a network of individuals dedicated to horticulture education, service, and lifelong learning. Through unbiased University research-based horticulture training they are equipped to address needs and opportunities in their community and throughout the state. The Extension Brown County Master Garden Volunteer Coordinator manages the Master Gardener Program in Brown County. The Master Gardener program utilizes volunteers to extend Extension’s horticulture programming through 1) partnerships with Brown County organizations to implement projects which enhance the environment, and 2) dissemination of research-based horticulture information through one-on-one encounters and educational events.

Essential Duties
Experience with volunteer management including recruitment and development.

Demonstrated experience with board/committee leadership or development.

Demonstrated experience developing effective partnerships or coalitions with community partners and local governments.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional work environments.

Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of methods and technology.

Experience with project management.

Experience managing multiple tasks, timelines, and schedules while maintaining high quality work.

Maintains communication with University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension educators working with Master Gardener program in Wisconsin.
