Legal Assistant
Limited Term Employment (LTE)
Purpose of Position:
The Trempealeau County District Attorney’s Office is seeking a Legal Assistant for a limited duration to perform legal secretarial, clerical and assistance to Trempealeau County prosecutors to include juvenile delinquencies, juveniles in need of protection and services (JIPS), truancies, county ordinances, traffic, felony and misdemeanors. The work is performed under the direction of the District Attorney.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree as a legal secretary, four years legal secretarial experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
Compensation:
The 2021 wage range for this non-exempt position is $18.26 per hour to $20.75 per hour (step 4), starting rate depending upon qualifications.
Position to commence March 2021 with availability up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for a duration of three months.
