Zoning Technician
Looking for a meaningful career opportunity? Waushara County is currently accepting applications for a Zoning Technician. This position researches, documents, field investigates and assists in the administration and enforcement of County and State Codes administered by the Waushara County Land Conservation and Zoning Office. These codes include, but are not limited to Waushara County’s Zoning, Wetland, Floodplain, Utilities, Manure Storage, Uniform Addressing, and Land Division Codes, along with State Codes and Standards including but not limited to NR 115, NR 116, NR 151, DATCP 50, and DATCP 51. In addition, Technicians will provide general guidance backed by technical assistance for individual landowners, various conservation groups, lake organizations, and federal, state or local conservation organizations relative to the adoption, implementation and enforcement of county codes, state statues and performance standards, as well as all aspects of Waushara County’s adopted plans, including but not limited to the Land and Water Resource Management Plan, the 20 year Comprehensive Plan, Farmland Preservation Plan, and Access Management Plan. Wage is $23.00-$24.43/hr. (starting wage based on relevant experience) with benefits. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Natural Resource Management or Agriculture, Agronomy, Soil Science or a directly related field of study.
