Jail Nurse

This position provides direct nursing care, treatment, and rehabilitation to inmate patients; assists physicians as directed. Also includes addressing the needs of those suffering from SUD-Substance Use Disorder and MOUD-Medications for Opioid Use Disorder. Takes independent action within professional and legal limits and performs related nursing duties as assigned; trains correctional staff as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin. Must successfully pass caregiver and criminal background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) years of work experience in correctional health care.

SALARY: $32.79 per hour. Juneau County offers a generous benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and matching contribution to the Wisconsin Retirement System.
