Jail Lieutenant
Chippewa County is currently accepting applications for a Jail Lieutenant position within the Sheriff’s Department. The job duties of the Lieutenant – Jail include but are not limited to effectively maintain and supervise the Jail Division of the Sheriff’s Office; to ensure the safe and effective management of all Jail operations; to comply with all State and Federal guidelines while protecting the Public and the rights of the inmate population.
Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree or 60 college credits from an accredited college required. Minimum of six (6) years recent full-time corrections or law enforcement experience and minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience required. Jail Officer Certification required. Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standard Board Certification (LESB) preferred. A cell phone and valid driver’s license required. Wage: $33.67 – $36.15 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $45.19 per hour.
