JAIL HEALTH REGISTERED NURSE

The part-time [28 hours/week] Jail Health Registered Nurse duties include providing health care services as part of Taylor County’s Jail Health Program. Individual will establish, review and maintain health care policies/procedures for inmate care. Individual will provide skilled nursing care for inmates in emergency and non-emergency situations, review inmate’s intake health screen, administer prescriptive and over-the-counter medications and maintain inmate’s medical records.
Applicants must possess an Associate Degree in Nursing with a current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license. Ability to work within a flexible schedule based on jail health needs with the availability to be contacted outside of work hours for consultation. A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and one to two years of jail health experience is preferred.
