Job Description:

Jackson County is seeking a full-time Information Technology (IT) Technician for the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). This position provides technical assistance to users of DHHS computer systems. Responsible for assisting personnel in the training and operation of IT, in addition; develops and manages information technology resources to assure compliance with HIPAA privacy and manage data flow processes.

Education/Experience: Associate’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two (2) years’ experience in Information Systems, Technology, or Computer Technical Assistance; plus knowledge of Microsoft Office, AS400, and SQL systems preferred. An equivalent combination of training or experience may be considered. 2021 Salary Range: $20.47 – $25.58 per hour plus excellent County benefits package and State retirement.
