Waushara County is currently accepting applications for a full-time Highway Worker (Patrolman) and to establish an eligibility list. Duties include performing a variety of skilled and unskilled labor and equipment operations, maintenance and repair of all roads and right-of-ways in and around Waushara County, as well as the operation and maintenance of County owned equipment. High School diploma with additional training in heavy equipment operation and maintenance. This position will need to be available 24 hours a day, in case of emergency. Requires possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver’s license and Commercial Driver’s License, with endorsements for air brakes, combination vehicles and tanker. Wage range is $20.98 – $24.04 (based on relevant experience), plus benefits. Online application and position descriptions available at www.co.waushara.wi.us.
