Job Description:

Grant County is recruiting for a Highway Commissioner. This position is responsible for the planning, direction, supervision, evaluation, recommendation, and monitoring of all departmental functions including maintenance, repair, construction, and related administration for the Highway Department according to applicable ordinances, statutes and contracts.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
1. High school diploma
2. Bachelor’s degree from an approved college or university with a major in Business or Public Administration, Civil Engineering, or related field
3. Certified professional engineer desirable

Experience:
1. Five years of direct work experience in planning and supervision of road and bridge construction
2. Significant administrative/management experience and supervisory responsibilities preferred
