Do you have strong attention to detail and enjoy budget preparations? If so, Monroe County’s Finance Department might have the job for you! We’re hiring for a part-time (approx. 24hrs./wk.) Health Dept. Accountant I. Successful candidates will have an Associate’s degree in accounting or business related field. Experience with Microsoft Office products and related office experience is desired. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired will also be considered.

Our Health Department Accountant I assists management with budget preparation and analysis, maintains up to date financial and statistical reports, and preforms standard account procedures. This position manages cash disbursements and cash receipts. This position also prepares grant reports, WIC reports, and the monthly budget reports.

Starting salary for this position is: $17.00 – $18.77 hourly depending on qualifications and experience with an approved increase to $19.87/hr. effective 06/26/2022.
