Full-Time / Part-Time Communications Officer
Jackson County is accepting applications to establish an eligibility list to fill current Full-Time and Part-Time Communication Officer positions. These are non-sworn positions in the Communication Division of the Sheriff’s Office. Engages in the dispatching of emergency vehicles in response to calls requiring police, fire or medical services; answers and logs calls and inquiries of emergent and non-emergent nature.
This is a specialized non-sworn law enforcement position in the Communication Division of the Sheriff’s Office. This position requires training and familiarization with emergency service dispatching entailing a 9-1-1 system.
