The Chippewa County Department of Land Conservation & Forest Management is seeking a cooperative education student in its engineering unit. Focus includes agricultural pollution control; mine site reclamation; hydrology; and urban storm water management. Specific emphasis in construction inspection, field surveys (topographic), design and drafting, resource inventories, and engineering review. Excellent learning opportunity in a progressive work environment. This position is seasonal, non-recurring, and limited term and requires up to 40 hours per week during a period of 6-7 months for a commitment of 975 hours.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Must be currently enrolled at an institution higher education and pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Biosystems/Biological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or other related course of study. Knowledge and/or experience in the fundamentals of drafting and surveying (level, total station, and GPS), construction techniques and materials, AutoCAD, Civil3D, and ArcGIS software preferred. Wage: $16.46 per hour. This is a non-benefited position.
