THIS POSITION PROVIDES CRITICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH ANSWERING BOTH COUNTY-WIDE EMERGENCY CALLS FOR SERVICE AS WELL AS ADMINISTRATIVE CALLS FOR THE JUNEAU COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT AND DISPATCHES APPROPRIATE LAW ENFORCEMENT AND/OR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PERSONNEL. PROVIDES RESPONSIVE, COURTEOUS AND EFFICIENT SERVICE TO COUNTY RESIDENTS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT. ABILITY TO OBTAIN A CURRENT NCIC AND EMERGENCY DISPATCHING CERTIFICATION. SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF BASIC LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER’S COURSE AND MAINTAIN CONTINUING EDUCATION HOURS THROUGHOUT EMPLOYMENT.

Starting Wage $23.38 per hour. Juneau County offers a generous benefits package, including Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and matching contributions to the Wisconsin Retirement System.
