Director of Planning, Zoning and Land Information
This position under the supervision of the County Administrator, and the policy direction of the Planning, Zoning & Farmland Preservation Committee, supervises and directs assigned staff of the Planning, Zoning and Land Information Department. Responsible for the management of the County’s planning program, zoning programs, tourism programs, and the oversight of the county-wide Geographic Information Systems and the automation of County Land Records. In addition, assists with economic development programs as requested by the County Economic Development Director.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Public Administration, GIS, Geography, or other related field. Master’s degree in Planning or Public Administration preferred. Five or more years’ experience working in the planning field; three to five years in a supervisory position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working directly with GIS technology strongly preferred.
• AICP credentials preferred.
Wage range – $3212.25 – $4130.25 biweekly (based on normal workweek of 37.5 hours), with a negotiable starting salary dependent upon qualifications and experience. Calumet County offers a complete benefits package.
