Corrections Sergeant

Jackson County is accepting applications to fill a full-time Corrections Sergeant position. This position performs supervisory work to direct and monitor the daily operational activities in the Corrections Division; provides supervision to assigned staff; ensures that responsibilities for compliance with all legal requirements are met; communicates necessary information to appropriate staff and assists the Jail Administrator in division responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates degree or a minimum of 60 college credits in criminal justice or related field preferred. Three (3) years’ experience as a certified corrections officer or law enforcement officer. Management/supervisory experience preferred. Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.

2021 Starting Wage: $19.03 – $23.79 per hour. Full-time position includes excellent County benefit package and participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System.
