Community Nurse – Vaccinator (Part-time Limited Term)
Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Public Health Nursing Supervisor, the nurse seeks to protect the community from vaccine preventable diseases by providing immunization services to the public. The part-time limited term (20-40 hours/wk) Community Nurse provides support and nursing services for the mass delivery of COVID-19 vaccines at clinics organized by the Public Health Division. The nurse assesses the immunization status of clients, administers vaccines, and educates clients and caregivers about immunizations. Promotes and maintains health of individuals, families and the community through teaching, counseling and initiation of appropriate preventive and rehabilitative measures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Hours:
The typical hours are Monday – Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm, three days per week, but there may be some weekend requirements as well. Anticipated duration of the positions are from February 2021 through July 2021.
Wage: $33.12/hr.
