Do you have strong attention to detail and enjoy working with the public? If so, Monroe County’s Clerk of Courts might have the job for you! We’re hiring for a full-time Traffic Office Clerk II. Successful candidates will have one to two years related schooling beyond high school graduation. A minimum of two years legal and/or bookkeeping experience is preferred. Computer experience is helpful. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired will also be considered.

Our Traffic Office Clerk II prepares the weekly traffic calendar and prepares dispositions for each traffic citation and forwards them to the Department of Motor Vehicles along with orders of suspension and revocation. This position prepares bench warrants, jail convictions, and handles assessment paperwork for defendants. This position also prepares trial notices and clerks traffic trials.

Starting salary for this position is: $13.25 – $14.50 hourly depending on qualifications and experience. Monroe County offers an excellent benefit package to include health with vision, dental, term life, Wisconsin Retirement System, and more.
