Chief Deputy Clerk of Courts
Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Chief Deputy Clerk of Court position within the Clerk of Courts department. The job duties of the Chief Deputy Clerk of Court include but are not limited to serving as the office manager for the Clerk of Circuit Court. Job duties are to organize, plan, implement, and direct the business office activities and operations of the Clerk of Circuit Court Department. Duties shall be performed with independent judgment and discretion in the performance of complex administrative management, operational, financial and judicial functions and the Chief Deputy Clerk of Court shall supervise deputy personnel and civilian bailiffs and act as Network Administrator for Chippewa County Circuit Courts.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Court Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Accounting or a related field with five (5) years recent experience OR Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Court Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field with ten (10) years of recent experience. Two (2) years of previous supervisory experience required. A valid driver’s license required. Must be bondable and must successfully complete a criminal background check. Starting Wage: $25.50 – $27.54 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $34.43 per hour
