Behavioral Health Social Worker I/II
Jackson County DHHS is seeking to fill a Behavioral Health Social Worker I/II position. This position would initially work within several Behavioral Health programs including Crisis, Comprehensive Community Services (CCS), and potentially Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS) or other areas of need within the unit. This position would ensure back-up coverage for staff working in these programs and assist in connecting clients to services timely. The position duties will be based on unit demands. This position would work with children and adults and include assessing client needs, establishing service plans, and utilizing the wrap around service philosophy.
Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice or related field and a valid Wisconsin driver’s license. Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with clients with mental illness, physical disabilities, and/or developmental disabilities. Must hold a valid Wisconsin Social Work Certification. If not certified at the time of application for employment, must have applied to the State of Wisconsin for a Temporary or Training Certificate prior to starting employment and obtain certification within six months of hire.
