Behavioral Health Professional – APS/Crisis

We are hiring a full-time Behavioral Health Professional – Adult Protective Services/Crisis. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree with a major in social work, sociology, psychology, guidance and counseling, or a general college degree with two years professional experience in a Human Services agency. Credentialing by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services as a certified Social Worker or other advanced credential such as Advance Practice Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Candidates eligible for credentialing through another human services related field with a clearly identified path to licensure may be considered. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license, reliable transportation, and sufficient driver liability insurance are required.

Our Behavioral Health Professional – APS/Crisis conducts risk assessments, linkage and follow-up activities, crisis planning, and initiates court and monitoring actions related to emergency detentions and civil commitments. This position follows up to address abuse and neglect concerns for adults-at-risk and elder adults-at-risk; completes WATTS reviews, conducts various court activities, and monitors actions related to guardianships and protective placements. This position will also serve as a resource person to the community and participates on committees and task forces as assigned.

Starting salary for this position is $24.47/hr. for non-credentialed candidates and $25.94/hr. for certified social workers.
