Do you have high attention to detail, the ability to remain organized, and an interest in land conservation? If so, Monroe County’s Land Conservation Department might have the job for you! We’re hiring for a full-time Administrative Assistant I. Successful candidates will have an Associate’s degree in business, accounting, or related field. A minimum of two years office management experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired will also be considered.

Our Administrative Assistant I performs secretarial and receptionist duties for the Land Conservation Department & Natural Resource Conservation Service. This position maintains the financial tracking database for the department’s budget items and vendor information; prepares and posts bills utilizing county software; and tracks and prepares annual reports for State and Federal programs as directed by the department’s director.

Starting salary for this position is: $13.96 – $17.00 hourly depending on qualifications and experience. Monroe County offers an excellent benefit package to include health with vision, dental, term life, Wisconsin Retirement System, and more.
