Accountant II
Chippewa County is accepting applications for an Accountant II position within the Department of Administration – Finance Division. The job duties of the Accountant II include but are not limited to assist the Finance Department in the overall administration and management of the Finance Department functions and to perform accounting, payroll employee compensation and benefits and auditing tasks in compliance with County, State and Federal requirements; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance required. Three (3) years recent accounting experience required. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required. Knowledge of Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) rules required. Valid driver’s license required. Starting Wage: $23.61 – $25.50 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $31.88 per hour.
