Job Description:

Jackson County is seeking a full-time Account Clerk at the Highway Department. This position will perform payroll, accounting, clerical and receptionist duties which may include but are not limited to: detailed payroll calculations; accounts receivable and accounts payable.

REQUIREMENTS: Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting or related field preferred. A minimum of two (2) years’ work-related experience that includes excellent computer skills, general bookkeeping knowledge, and payroll experience. 2023 Starting Wage: $19.15 – $21.88 plus excellent County benefit package and State retirement plan.
