WCA County Ambassador Program (CAP Team)
Since 2010, members of the Wisconsin Counties Association (WCA) County Ambassador Program, better known as its CAP Team, have been working alongside WCA’s Government Affairs Team to promote WCA’s legislative priorities before the Wisconsin State Legislature.
CAP Team members include county board chairs, county supervisors, county executives, county administrators/administrative coordinators, constitutional officers, department heads, department managers, etc. and play a critical role in educating members of the Legislature about the state-county partnership and the critical role counties play in ensuring strong, vital communities across the state. The efforts of the CAP Team have contributed to a number of legislative successes, including a $25 million increase in the Children and Family Aids allocation in the last state budget!
For several reasons, a decision was made to change the format of the October 19, 2021 County Ambassador Program (CAP Team) meeting from in-person to virtual. It is our hope that the change in format will allow more members to participate as the meeting date conflicts with several county board meetings.
