Phillips Borowski Issues Community Challenge and County Officials Respond

Donation to Gio’s Garden Result of “Community Challenge” Bracelets

At this year’s WCA Annual Conference in September, WCA’s general counsel Phillips Borowski S.C. issued a challenge to county officials.  For every “Community Challenge” bracelet picked up at the Phillips Borowski booth, the firm would donate $5.00 to a local charity. This year’s charity was Gio’s Garden — a charity close to the county family home, as they are dedicated to helping with human service needs.

“We take on difficult legal challenges and our county officials face similar challenges in delivering vital services to our citizens,” said Andy Phillips of Phillips Borowski. “But the challenges we face are nowhere near as difficult as those that people in our community face each and every day. At Phillips Borowski S.C., we realize we have an obligation not only to take on the challenges of our County clients, but to take on community challenges as well.”

County officials responded wholeheartedly to this challenge and Phillips Borowski recently donated $2,250 to Gio’s Garden.  See the full Gio’s Garden sign by Phillips Borowski here.

“As part of the county community, Phillips Borowski S.C., we are honored that county officials rose to our challenge and because of them, we were able to help support Gio’s Garden’s mission to ‘nuture families with special needs children (birth to 6 years) by increasing their access to needed services.’ These services include a respite care facility, professional therapy, client advocacy, and social work/support,” said Dan Borowski.  “We believe as a county community, we can work through even the most difficult challenges and we feel an obligation to continue to help those in our community.”
