Job Description
The Buffalo County Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a qualified individual to plan, manage, maintain, organize, direct and administer all Buffalo County Health and Human Services programs as prescribed by County governing boards to meet the needs of eligible county citizens according to applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The Director is subject to delegation authority as consistent with Wisconsin State Statutes 46.23 and rules and regulations as promulgated by Wisconsin Department of Health Services and Department of Children and Families.
The work is performed under the direction of the Health and Human Services and Veterans Services Committee.
Qualified applicants shall have a minimum requirement of a bachelor degree in social work, health administration, public administration, public health, environmental health, the physical or biological sciences or other related field with a minimum of five (5) years experience of progressively responsible administrative and supervisory duties within a health and human services environment that provides knowledge of organizations and functions of state and local governments, budgeting procedures, human behavior and the basic principles and practices of a social worker. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.

Buffalo County Administration is accepting applications for a full-time Social Services Manager.
This is an administrative position in the Department of Health and Human Services providing professional management and policy development over the Social Services Unit under the general direction of the Health and Human Services Director. This position has overall responsibility of the unit to provide for the safety of children, juveniles, and the community; to provide permanency for families; and to assure the well-being of all. The manager will screen, assign, review and audit cases to assure quality of service and compliance with established guidelines. Currently the unit has workers who perform services for Child Protection, Juvenile Justice, Foster Care, Adult Protection, Elder Abuse, Mental Health and AODA, Birth-to-Three, Child Care Certification, WATTS, Guardianships and Children's Long Term Waiver programs.
Qualified applicants shall have a minimum requirement of a bachelor degree in social work with five (5) years working experience dealing with social services; current Wisconsin Social Work certification; knowledge of Wisconsin Statutes pertaining to social services, mental health, alcohol and other drug abuse, and developmental disabilities especially chapters 48, 49, 938, 51, 54 and 55 of the Wisconsin Statutes; knowledge of human behavior and the basic principles and practices of a Social Worker; ability to work with people: to exercise good judgment in appraisal of situations and in making decisions, planning and directing work activities. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.

Job Description
Iowa County, Wisconsin, located in Dodgeville, has an opening for a Public Health Officer/Director responsible for the overall operation of the Iowa County Health Agency. Under the policy direction of the County Health & Human Services Committee and management direction of the County Administrator, this position has responsibility for a wide variety of public health service programs.
Qualifications for this challenging position include either a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Nursing, Public Health, Environmental Health, or related field as meets requirements under Section 251.06 Wisconsin Statutes for a Level II Health Department. This statute specifies “at least three years of experience in a full-time position with a public health agency, including responsibility for a communicable disease prevention and control program.” Preferences may include three years successful experience in a public health supervisory position and a current Wisconsin license to practice as a registered professional nurse, with experience as a practitioner.

Price County is accepting applications for the position of Certified Social Worker in the Children & Family Unit of the Department of Health and Human Services.
Major responsibilities include services to families experiencing child welfare and juvenile justice issues and include on-going family based support services to keep families intact or to reunify families who have experienced out-of-home placements. Position functions are performed in an office, client home and community setting. Work involves in-home services including family assessments and treatment planning, case management, after-hours on-call services and alternate care services. This is a full time, regular position with competitive wage and benefits package.
Minimum qualifications include:
• Bachelors Degree in social work, sociology, psychology, criminal justice or other approved human services related field;
• Current certification in the state of Wisconsin as a Social Worker or attainment within 6 months of employment;
• Two years post degree experience in a human service setting working with target population preferred;
• Basic Intake Worker Training, completion of CORE or related training preferred; or the ability to complete within 12 months of employment;
• Experience in eWiSACWIS preferred;
• The ability to work a flexible schedule and perform after-hours services when needed or scheduled (on-call rotation requires weekend, evening and holiday service);
• The ability to arrive at local law-enforcement within 30 minutes when performing after-hours on-call services;
• A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle insured to county-required limits.

Price County is currently recruiting to create an Eligibility List for the position of Deputy Sheriff in the Price County Sheriff's Department.
Position maintains protection of life and property and the enforcement of criminal Federal, State and County laws and ordinances. Position involves prevention of adult and juvenile crime, apprehension of law violators and monitoring of traffic. Work involves assistance to public and other law enforcement agencies and also services as 911 radio dispatcher. These positions have a 2013 starting wage of $18.09 per hour with 12 hour shifts. This Eligibility List will be used to fill Full Time, Regular and Part Time, Casual openings for the next twelve months.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
