Legislative

Every two years, the WCA Board of Directors approves a legislative agenda.  View this publication here.

Steering Committees

WCA has seven steering committees to review and develop policy recommendations for the WCA Board of Directors. Through the steering committees, county supervisors, executives and other county representatives debate and develop policies for the association.

The steering committees are appointed annually by the WCA president and include: Agriculture, County Organization and Personnel, Environment and Land Use, Health and Human Services, Judicial and Public Safety, Taxation and Finance, and Transportation and Public Works. The WCA lobbyists serve as staff to each of these committees.

Continuing Education Credits

WCA holds Educational Seminars every month, except for January and September, on topics or issues relevant to counties. Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits are assigned to the seminars and have been approved through December 2009.  View the list here
